Oregon Room Grand Opening

Thanks to all who helped us celebrate the Grand Opening of The Oregon Room this past Saturday, January 22. Michael Finlay, Volunteer Program and Special Events coordinator is pictured here during the ribbon cutting with two big helpers and Sal, the golden pioneer.

Express Yourself!



Spoon people were created during 'Express Yourself! on Saturday, January 22. Join us this Saturday, January 29 from 11 am - 1 pm. Tell your story through theatre. Make a puppet and put on a show with props and costumes. Free with admission.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration










Today, January 17 until 3 p.m.

Join us today as we celebrate with crafts and activities, including optional all-ages service projects. All activities are drop-in, so no need to sign up for service projects.

The service projects are courtesy of Hands On Mid Willamette Valley and Family Building Blocks. Through Hands On, we are making alphabet books for students of local area Head Start programs.

For Family Building Blocks, we will be creating bookmarks to hand out to their volunteers and work crews as tokens of appreciation.

A big thank you to Kaiser Permanente volunteers for helping out with this event!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration
Monday, January 17, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.


Share your dreams for a better world as we honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will celebrate with crafts and activities, including optional all-ages service projects. All activities are drop-in, so no need to sign up for service projects.

Activities include "make your own" MLK flip books, "What is your dream" activity and information and history bout Martin Luther King, Jr.

The service projects are courtesy of Hands On Mid Willamette Valley and Family Building Blocks. Through Hands On, we will be making alphabet books for students of local area Head Start programs. The goal is to make approximately 800 alphabet books to give away. So we're looking for all the help we can get!

For Family Building Blocks, we will be creating bookmarks to give to the volunteers and work crews as tokens of appreciation.
